I am a qualified, experienced counsellor and have trained in Humanistic approaches to therapy. This means that I use a range of counselling theories and approaches within my work, ensuring that I work with you to tailor our sessions to suit your needs.
I cover all areas of counselling, including counselling for anxiety, counselling for depression, counselling for panic disorders and counselling for stress. At Help4Addiction, we also cover counselling for alcohol addiction
. In addition to counselling, I also specialise in working with mental health, addiction and alcoholism, having worked in the field for over 8 years. I have excellent links to the highest quality treatment services within Hertfordshire and the UK and can support individuals and family members in accessing a range of treatment programs. I aim to provide a professional and confidential counselling service in Hertford
for individuals and can offer long-term therapy or shorter solution-focused counselling tailored to suit each individual's needs and wishes. I offer an initial free 30min introduction consultation over the phone, where we can discuss the process of counselling. This allows you to ask any questions you may have, and gain a feel of me and my methods of working before we booked our first consultation assessment session. Through counselling, I can help you to work through psychological and emotional problems, find ways to manage difficult situations in your life and improve your sense of well-being. It may be a specific situation that brings you to counselling, a sad or troubling event, or it may be that life seems overwhelmingly difficult and out of control. I can help you to explore difficult issues and find ways to understand and overcome emotional distress.
The first session will be an assessment session, offered after the telephone consultation. This allows us to find out more about you and your background, discuss the issues that you are having presently and establish where to place the focus in your future consultations. Following that my fees are as follows: £50 – Individual Counselling £40 – Telephone counselling £40 – Online Counselling Payment is accepted in cash bank transfer or cheque and paid in block sessions upfront Provided 48 hours' notice is given we will aim to reschedule your session. If notice is not given the session will still be deemed payable in full.
