I am a Person Centred Counsellor. So therapy sessions aren’t about me or my opinions, they are about you. My aim will be to help you understand and recognise repetitive behaviour or cycles in your life that prevent you from moving forward. We can also identify the more positive ones that are helpful towards your recovery process..
Working with me can help you to understand some of the reasons behind your difficult or even overwhelming emotions. Sometimes you might feel that you are not ‘good enough’, have an unexplainable feeling of ‘impending doom’, or just a feeling that something isn’t quite right.
If you think you may have a problem with drink, drugs or gambling, my personal experience of recovery gives me a deep understanding of addictive behaviour, its underlying causes and all the related issues that surround it.
I see people with many problems including excessive drinking habits, alcohol or drug addiction, prescription or illicit drug abuse, gambling, gaming, shopping or overeating and the issues around the addiction. I also see people who are affected by someone else with addiction issues. (relatives, friends, Partners).
I also counsel people with anxiety, depression, feelings of worthlessness, anger, loss, stress, trauma, bereavement, relationship issues, loss of self-belief or low self-esteem any of which may or may not be related to addiction.
