Ruth Hartley
My name is Ruth Hartley and I am a therapeutic counsellor working in schools and private practice. I am an accredited and registered member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP) and am accountable and abide by their code of ethics. I work mainly in a person-centred way but also use NLP and CBT. I have been qualified for over ten years.
I have a degree in Psychology from the Open University as well as holding a level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling and also being a certified Practitioner of the Art of Neuro Linguistic Programming and a NLP Stop Smoking Practitioner. I keep my training up to date and have recently undergone training in Depression and Anxiety with Future Learn and Understanding Borderline Personality Disorder with Self Injury Support (Bristol). I have worked a lot with young people and also members of the LGBT community especially with childhood trauma which has often proved a trigger for addictive behaviour in adult life.
I walk along-side clients through many difficulties but have a special interest in self-harm of all forms including addiction and childhood trauma.
My fees are £30 a session payable either in advance or per session.
