Nicholas Conn

Nicholas Conn founded Help4Addiction after overcoming his own battle with addiction. Having experienced the confusion and isolation of trying to find the right support, Nick saw a clear need for a service that makes accessing rehab simpler and less overwhelming. His first-hand experience in recovery drives everything we do—ensuring those struggling with addiction, and their families, are met with empathy, honesty, and real guidance. Today, Nick is dedicated to helping others take the first step, offering clear, compassionate support and signposting to the most suitable rehab and detox options across the UK.

Robert Lefever

Dr Robert Lefever is a pioneer of addiction medicine in the UK. He founded the country’s first rehab centre for eating disorders, alcohol and drug problems and was the first to treat compulsive gambling, nicotine dependence and workaholism. Lefever also identified and developed treatment for the behaviour he called “Compulsive Helping.” In three decades he has supported more than 8,000 patients and their families, led the PROMIS Recovery Centre in South Kensington, contributed regularly to the BBC, and authored several books on depression and addictive illness. He now provides intensive one-to-one care based on this extensive experience.

Our Community

Help4Addiction is more than a service, it’s a community built on understanding, compassion, and lived experience. Many of our team members, partners, and supporters have faced addiction themselves or helped loved ones through it. That shared journey fuels everything we do. Whether you’re seeking help or offering it, you’re part of a growing network of people who truly get it—and who are here to walk this path with you.
